    Here's an example of a business app. Same UI concept as averSQL. You can do a lot to the overall look just by getting creative with the datawindow. Add images, stay away from the buttonface color, flatten your fields, etc.

    Here is how we overrode and handle drop down lists now. Centered, larger and in focus with surrounding area a little darker and easy to use on touch screen devices.

      Brad Wery You see this on mobile. It makes so much sense. You can display more data and make it easier to make a selection.

      David Pylatuk I stole the idea from mobile wanted to make it easy for our users that use Windows tablets to make selections. They can choose standard drop down behavior if they want.

      Roland Smith Might be better if it sized to the contents. I'm not a big fan of large amounts of white space.
